A key choice for choosing a small roadster, the Sky is revamped this year with plenty of new additions and features that make it more appealing. Although not as efficient, the 2008 Saturn Sky’s styling looks more like an athletic driver’s car compared to its Miata and Solstice competitors.

The Sky is available in two trim lines: base and the more proficient Red Line. Eighteen-inch wheels, automatic headlights, full power accessories, an auxiliary jack, satellite radio and air conditioning are just some of the standard features for the base. The Premium Trim Package adds a leather steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, leather upholstery and a metallic interior trim. The Red Line, similar to the Premium Trim Package, additionally has a sport-tuned suspension and performance tires. Mix and matching interior and exterior colors is also an option for customers.

The Saturn Sky gets up to 19 mpg in the city and a range of 24-28 on the highway. The 2.4-liter engine at four cylinders produces 172 horsepower. Sky Red Line, which reaches zero to 60 mpg in 5.8 seconds, has an Ecotec turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, delivering 260 horsepower at 5,300 rpm.

OnStar, antilock disc brakes and stability control come standard with the 2008 Saturn Sky.
