2008 Saturn Outlook Review, Pictures & Video

In its second model year, the 2008 Outlook crossover has the user-friendly traits of a car, but the robust style of a sport-utility. A leading choice comparatively to the GMC Acadia and the Buick Enclave, the 2008 Saturn Outlook is anticipated for minivan reluctant families.
Available in two trim levels, XE and XR offer both front- and all-wheel drive. The XE offers 18-inch wheels, heated exterior mirrors, an MP3-compatible CD player, Satellite Radio, cruise control and GM’s OnStar service. Additionally, the XR has a power driver seat, dual-zone climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, roof rails, foglights, variable-effort power steering and a trip computer.
Three rows of seats are spacious enough to fit seven or eight 6-foot adults comfortably. The second- and third-row can easily be folded down to allow 117 cubic feet of cargo room, only 20 cubic feet behind the third-row.
The Outlook XE produces 270-horsepower on the 3.6-liter V-6 engine while the dual-exhaust makes 275-horsepower. All-wheel drive models feature the Active On Demand system which splits torque between the front and rear axels.
Safety features include antilock brakes, front-seat side airbags, rollover-sensing stability control and side curtain airbags that provide all three seat rows with head protection. Break assist is included with the antilock brakes.
